How to use dynamic variables in Quantity Breaks
Learn how to create more dynamic bundle deals using Koala Bundles variables.
Koala Bundles includes dynamic variables that allow bundle deals to automatically display quantities, discounts, pricing, savings, and product information.
Instead of manually updating every bundle tier individually, variables help create smarter bundle offers that automatically adapt based on the selected product and tier configuration.
This makes bundle management faster, cleaner, and much easier to scale across your store.

What are dynamic variables?
Dynamic variables are placeholders that automatically display information inside your bundle deals.
For example, adding the {quantity} variable to a bundle title will automatically display the correct quantity for that bundle tier on the product page.
Variables update dynamically depending on the selected product, variant, pricing, and bundle configuration.
Why use variables in bundle deals?
Variables make it possible to create bundle offers that feel personalized without needing to manually edit every bundle tier.
Instead of writing unique content for every offer, you can build one flexible bundle structure that automatically updates its details.
For example, rather than manually creating titles like:
- Buy 2 and save 10%
- Buy 3 and save 15%
- Buy 5 and save 20%
You can simply use variables, and Koala Bundles will automatically display the correct values for each tier.
This is especially useful when managing bundles across multiple products, since the same bundle block can dynamically adapt to different pricing and product information automatically.
How to add variables to a bundle
Each field in the bundle editor that supports variables includes an Insert variable button.

Clicking this button opens the full list of available variables.

Variables can be used to dynamically display:
- Quantities
- Discounts
- Prices
- Savings
- Product details
Some variables are automatically calculated by the app, such as discounts and savings, while product-related variables are pulled directly from your Shopify product information.
You can place variables inside titles, subtitles, labels, and other supported bundle fields.
Example: Creating a dynamic bundle offer
Suppose you want your bundle deal to automatically display the quantity and discount for each tier.
Instead of manually editing every bundle title, you can insert variables directly into the text.
For example:
Buy {quantity} & save {discountPercent}

Koala Bundles will automatically replace the variables with the correct values for each bundle tier.
For example:
- Buy 2 and save 10%
- Buy 3 and save 15%
- Buy 5 and save 20%
You can also combine multiple variables together to create more advanced pricing messages.
For example:
Only {perItemPrice} per itemor:
Was {regularPrice} — now {price}This allows you to create highly dynamic bundle deals while keeping your bundle setup simple and easy to maintain.
Using variables is one of the easiest ways to create more professional, scalable, and conversion-focused bundle offers in Koala Bundles.
