# How to Mix & Match using Quantity Breaks

The **Alternative products** setting lets customers build their own bundle instead of just buying more of the same item — perfect if you want to offer choice within a tier, not just quantity.

Here's how it works:
* Each tier is made up of "slots" — the first slot is always your main product
* Every extra slot can be swapped for a different product you choose
* On a Buy Two tier, for example, the customer keeps the main product and picks any product from your list for slot 2

To set it up, open your tier and turn on **Add alternative products**, then use **Browse** or **Search products** to add the items you want available. You can reorder or remove products anytime.
On the product page, customers just click **Change** on any extra slot to pick their product from the pop-up — then **Add to cart** adds their full selection at once.
